GOLF SANTA PONSA I was opened in 1977, becoming the first golf course in the municipality of Calvià and the second in Mallorca.

Situated on one of the best estates in the municipality with beautiful views of Puig Galatzó, it is a long course of 6.543 meters with 18 holes (Par 72); the 10th hole (Par 5) is one of the longest in Europe with 590 meters.

The course has been host to the European Tour seven times with players such as Severiano Ballesteros, Bernard Langer, José Mª Olazábal, Miguel A. Jiménez, Jesper Partnevick, Lee Westwood, Colin Montgomerie, Ian Woosnam, Vijay Singh, etc.

The club is completed by two more courses (GOLF SANTA PONSA II – III) for exclusive use for members.

URBANIZATION

Habitat Golf Santa Ponsa was founded in 1932 to develop the Urbanization of Golf Santa Ponsa, situated only 20 minutes by motorway from the airport and 15 minutes from the city of Palma.

Surrounded by 6 kilometers of coastline, the Golf Santa Ponsa Urbanization is on of the best options to live in Mallorca thanks to the high quality of the infrastructure: houses, apartments and plots of quality, three golf courses (GOLF SANTA PONSA I-II-III) beaches, ports and sailing club, commercial centres and tourist attractions.

Santa Ponsa is also an important part of the history of Mallorca being the place where Jaime III landed to begin the conquest of the island.

As well as the course, the player has at his disposal some of the best facilities to improve his game with a driving range of 250 meters in length and 50 positions on grass (covered and open), chipping area and two putting greens.

The hotel is currently under renovation and you will find a snack bar next to the Caddy Master and the pro-shop/office.
